What is Vaginal Laxity?
Vaginal laxity refers to a condition characterized by a Loss of firmness in the vaginal wall, resulting in a Loosened Vaginal Opening, which can include your outer genitalia or your inner vaginal canal. This condition is often accompanied by a deficiency in connective tissue and weakened pelvic floor muscles surrounding the vagina. When the tissue outside your vagina- your labia loosen, it can lead to problems with twisting of these tissues.
When the tissues inside your vagina become lax, your sex life can be affected as you may lose some sensation during intercourse.
What are causes of Vaginal Laxity?

• After childbirth (due to the mechanical overstretching of tissues and birth-related injuries, including surgical scars)
• Hormonal changes (occurring during menopause)
